Flaxseeds can be tricky to get the most out of, but they donโt have to be. Itโs best to buy them whole, store them cold, but eat them ground. Thatโs because the hard shell of flaxseeds is over-protective and our digestive systems canโt quite crack into all of their omega-3, fiber, and anti-inflammatory benefits. Ground flaxseeds can be stirred into pancake batter, added to smoothies, or used to coat chicken or fish.
