How Nutritionists Use Flax Seeds

Flaxseeds can be tricky to get the most out of, but they don’t have to be. It’s best to buy them whole, store them cold, but eat them ground. That’s because the hard shell of flaxseeds is over-protective and our digestive systems can’t quite crack into all of their omega-3, fiber, and anti-inflammatory benefits. Ground flaxseeds can be stirred into pancake batter, added to smoothies, or used to coat chicken or fish.
